Charming Day Car for SUOC 381 Challenge

I love Designer’s Choice. It means we get to do whatever we want, or at least that is the way I interpret it. This time I went with simple for the card design. But the elements of the card is where the fun was. To see the other design team members choices click HERE to go to the SUOC Challenge Site. Would like to see what you design!

I love to watercolor. It is so much fun and the charming Day bundle (and Suite) is the perfect set to use for this technique. I used reinkers for this one and tried something a little different. I love how the leaves turned out using Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green, for the flowers though I used Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Berry Burst. For the makeshift vase I used the Irresistible Designs 12X12 Specialty Paper and blended it with a light coat of Crumb Cake and die cut it using the wine glass from the Cheers & Sips dies. Love how it turned out. For the background I chose the Soft Waves 3D embossing Folder and a simple sentiment cut out with the Stylish Shapes Dies and stamped with Crumb Cake and one of the stamps from Tags of Thanks. Easy breezy card with some fun elements. Did you notice the vase how the flowers aren’t behind it but actually look like they are in the vase, well they are. This was recommended by Patty Bennett to use the cutting blade attachment to the Take Your Pick tool. Makes a world of difference don’t you think!
