SUOC 358 – Favorite Technique

This was a hard one as I really enjoy 99.9% of all stamping techniques. But I can say that ever since I discovered the glycerin ink blending technique I really like how this turns out versus just a plain ink blending. The glycerin let’s the ink blend seamlessly and is more even. It is a great technique and there is so much you can do with it. This is more of a mix of two techniques, the glycerin ink blending and then silhouette stamping. It is a quick and easy card when you need one quick but with a bit of pizzazz!

Glycerin is a good product to have in your craft room and it doesn’t go bad. On one stamping block edge I inked Azure Afternoon and then on the other I inked Lemon Lolly then on another I ink Gorgeous Grape. On a smaller block I put about a quarter size of glycerin. Using a blending brush I first dipped it in a little of the glycerin and then the Azure Afternoon ink. Starting off the cardstock I started blending. You will notice right away how it just goes on like butter and the color pops. You can go as light or dark as you wish. I then repeated the steps with the next two colors using a separate blending brush for each. Once I was happy with the colors I washed off all the blocks and cleaned the blending brushes. Then I stamped my images using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
